Privacy
When submitting stories or articles to the PA DOC monitor, one should specify whether or not it should be published with his or her name attached, or anonymously. If anonymity is not specifically requested, the creator's name will be attached by default.
We will not reveal users' identity to a third party except if explicitly demanded by law. In the event that a law enforcement agency would request information such as server logs, we would do our utmost to protect our users' identity, exhausting all possible legal means.
Submission Guidelines
We do not guarantee that all submissions will be published. Our editorial staff will review all submissions in a timely manner and make a decision on a case-by-case basis. Submissions should not encourage unlawful activity or contain abusive, threatening, or inappropriate language. The PA DOC Monitor was established to voice serious concerns about the PA DOC, not merely to vent frustrations; all submissions should keep this in mind. Article and story submissions can be made by E-Mailing editor@pa-doc-monitor.org or by postal mail at the following address:
c/o Center for Civil Liberties and Justice
P.O. Box 9071
Pittsburgh, PA 15224
Submissions will not be returned. We welcome and encourage submissions from inmates. We reserve the right to modify any submissions for stylistic, grammatical, or spelling errors.
Story and article comments are moderated and can be posted anonymously if desired. Comments should not encourage illegal activity or contain abusive, threatening, or inappropriate language. The PA DOC Monitor reserves the right to reject comments if they do not conform to our editorial standards.
